THIS is what EU wants for its post-Brexit relationship with UK, and it would cost billions

Image
BRITAIN could be forced to keep its borders open and pay the European Union (EU) billions of pounds for the pleasure after Brexit - if the bloc’s chief negotiator Michel Barnier gets his way. he Frenchman is believed to be pushing for a Norway-style position for the UK, in which it will pay to retain access to the EU’s free trade zone.  Norway is not a member of the EU, however it is allowed to trade in the European Economic Area (EEA) in exchange for a fee.  This pay-to-trade situation will see Oslo send Brussels a staggering £1.2 billion for a seven-year period from 2014 to 2021. In exchange they are able to trade tariff-free within the bloc, which makes up a huge proportion of Norwegian trade.  Membership of the EEA also requires states to implement some EU laws without being allowed to take part in debates or votes on them. One witness told Sky News: "There are still people inside but people are protesting "The people are tired, they are tired of what is happening here." It is unknown how the fire started, but police have rushed to the camp following what has been described as a "major disturbance".
